500-mm reflecting telescope
The 500-mm reflecting telescope, a Cassegrain Telescope, was set up at the beginning of the 1960s.
The magnification lies approximately between 120-fold to 470-fold. One can particularly observe planets, double stars, compact star clusters and gas nebulas very well with this telescope. The moon also offers a fantastic view; however, only small sections of it can be seen.
